Ingredients

  • Fresh Peaches 4-5 medium peaches
  • Granulated Sugar 1/2 cup
  • Lemon Juice 1 tablespoon
  • Rolled Oats 3/4 cup
  • All-Purpose Flour 3/4 cup
  • Brown Sugar 1/2 cup
  • Unsalted Butter 1/2 cup or 1 stick, cold and cubed
  • Cinnamon 1 teaspoon
  • Vanilla Extract 1 teaspoon
  • Salt 1/4 teaspoon

Instructions

  • Preheat Your Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). This ensures the peach crumble cooks evenly and gets that golden-brown topping.
  • Prepare the Peaches: Wash, peel, and slice the peaches into thin wedges. Place them in a large mixing bowl. Toss the peaches with granulated sugar, lemon juice, and a pinch of cinnamon. This will bring out their natural sweetness and flavor.
  • Make the Crumble Topping: In a separate bowl, combine the rolled oats, all-purpose flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Add the cold cubed butter and use a pastry cutter or your fingers to work the butter into the dry ingredients until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. It’s okay if some larger pieces remain—that’s what gives the crumble its delicious texture.
  • Assemble the Crumble: Transfer the prepared peaches into a greased 9x9-inch baking dish. Evenly sprinkle the crumble topping over the peaches, making sure to cover the fruit completely.
  • Bake to Perfection: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the topping is golden and crisp, and the peaches are bubbling. Keep an eye on it—if the topping starts to brown too quickly, you can cover it loosely with aluminum foil for the last few minutes of baking.
  • Let It Cool: Once baked, remove the peach crumble from the oven and allow it to cool for a few minutes before serving. This helps the juices set, making it easier to serve and even more delicious!
